One Safe Place – Pathways and Camp Hope

Duties:

  • Counselors are ages 17-24.
  • Mentors are 25+.
  • Ability to pass background check.
  • Must live locally or regularly able to attend San Diego County events.
  • Attend at least 4 Pathways events throughout the year.
  • Participate in Trauma informed trainings.
  • Attending camp is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Commitment to be present in a child’s life.

 

Qualifications:

  • Adult volunteer with 100 hours of prior Palomar UC San Diego Health Volunteer experience or approved by the Director or Supervisor of Volunteer Services.
  • Complete the OneSafePlace Orientation.
  • Interested in working with children.
  • Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to follow cleaning/sanitizing procedures.
  • Volunteers must possess the maturity, responsibility and interpersonal skills to interact cordially with patients, staff, volunteers and other customers.
  • Volunteers must maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Must be cleared by the District Attorney’s office via a background check.
