Inpatient Rehab – Speech Language Pathologists

Duties:

  • Delivering food items from patient refrigerators to patient rooms and Imaging.
  • Waiting with food until swallow eval begins.
  • Waiting with patients during transport delays.
  • Cleaning up after swallow evals.
  • Posting signs in patient rooms.
  • Stocking supplies.
  • Wiping down equipment.
  • Observe bedside swallow evaluations, Modified Barium Swallow studies and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluations of Swallowing.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be pursuing a career in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to follow cleaning/sanitizing procedures.
  • Volunteers must possess the maturity, responsibility and interpersonal skills to interact cordially with patients, staff, volunteers and other customers.
  • Volunteers must maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

 

Assignments: 

(All shifts may not be available)

  • Monday-Friday: 8:30am-12:30pm
