Duties:

• Act as a liaison between nurses and relatives/friends of patients
• Assist patients to appropriate destinations
• Assist staff with removing meal trays
• Cleaning of wheelchairs, gurneys, rooms and/or equipment
• Organize the supply cabinets
• Restock supplies and blanket warmers
• Restock supplies for Speech Language Pathologists
• Assist with patient discharges
• Oversee waiting area including rounding on patients and family members
• Babysit children when asked by staff

Qualifications:

• Need to be mature and self-starters
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Possess the maturity, responsibility and interpersonal skills to interact cordially with patients, staff, volunteers and family members
• Flexible, stamina and possess problem-solving skills and handle stressful situations
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Must be able to handle stressful situations
• Must have good guest relation skills

Assignments: 

(All shifts may not be available)

• Monday – Sunday (Escondido): 12am-4am, 4am-8am, 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm, 4pm-8pm, 8pm-12am
• Monday – Sunday (Poway): 8:30am-12:30pm, 12:30pm-4:30pm, 4:30pm-8:30pm
