All babies born at Palomar Medical Centers in Escondido and Poway this month received red hats made by volunteers to celebrate American Heart Month. At Palomar UC San Diego Health we celebrate all the ways we keep hearts safe, including our babies.

Did you know every baby born in the United States has a heart screening to help doctors identify and treat heart problems early? The critical congenital heart disease (CCHD) screening is simple, painless and takes just a few minutes.

Pictured are: Krishaa, Jacklynn, Jackson and Allison, all Palomar UC San Diego Health babies born this month.
