Last week the Medical Surgical Units at Palomar UC San Diego Health Poway received 12 new beds, and two new ICU beds are coming soon. Palomar UC San Diego Health invested almost $160,000 for the 14 pieces to replace the aged beds at Poway, allowing for a better patient experience.

“We are so thankful for the delivery of the new Hill-Rom beds,” says Director of Nursing of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry and Intensive Care Holly Kalisek, MSN, RN, at Palomar UC San Diego Health Poway. “These beds will help to promote healing, comfort and safety for our patients, while improving maneuverability for the staff.”

The beds came during Thanksgiving week, giving Palomar UC San Diego Health extra reasons to be thankful this year.
