The Jean McLaughlin Women’s Center offers upright stereotactic biopsies. During a breast biopsy, a small amount of tissue is withdrawn through a needle and sent to the laboratory for diagnosis. This is a less invasive technique which may possibly eliminate the need for a surgical breast biopsy.
