Trauma Recovery Center

Trauma Recovery Center

Trauma Recovery Center aims to meet clients where they are at along their journey of recovery and healing. We specialize in providing safe, compassionate and timely trauma-informed services to victims of assault and trauma. Specialties include medical and neuropsychological examination of traumatic/acquired brain injuries and short-term psychiatric services for adult, dependent and geriatric assault and trauma victims.

In 2021, Palomar UC San Diego Health founded the Trauma Recovery Center program. The program specializes in providing assessment, short-term therapeutic services, psychiatric support, specialist referral, advocacy and cross-service system collaboration for adults and families impacted. No one is turned away.

Palomar Trauma Recovery Center is based on a foundation of healing and justice, providing a professional, compassionate and coordinated approach to therapeutic services, evaluation referrals for medical examination of acquired /traumatic brain injuries, advocacy and case coordination for family, adult and geriatric victims of abuse and/or crime. Palomar UC San Diego Health is keenly aware of the serious and ongoing need for prompt and sensitive care for victims of physical or sexual assault, domestic violence, vicarious trauma related to homicide, hate crime, community violence, criminal car accident and immigration trauma. We accept referrals from community agencies and providers. The Trauma Recovery Center works closely with a multidisciplinary team, the county and local community advocacy agencies to cross-collaborate and prioritize the safety and well-being of victims.
