Current Research On The Relationships Between Hearing Loss and Cognitive Decline
On October 10, 2024, Palomar UC San Diego Health hosted a free online seminar on the physical and psychological effects of hearing loss. Palomar UC San Diego Health’s Chief of Audiology and Hearing Services, David M. Illich Au.D., hosted a review of the most current worldwide research, focusing primarily on how hearing loss specifically affects our brain’s cognitive abilities.

No registration required, walk-ins only
Join other mothers to get the support you need to boost your breastfeeding confidence. This group is led by a licensed Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), RN in a safe and relaxing setting where you will learn more about the following:
• How to properly position and latch
• Duration and frequency of feeding
• Understand feeding cues
• Suckling and swallowing for nutrition
• About milk production and release
• How to use a pump if you desire
• Assess if your baby is adequately nourished
