
Jeff Griffith is a 30-year veteran and second-generation firefighter. He began his career in Northern California as a seasonal firefighter in Shasta County, where his father also worked in the Fire Service. As he was promoted through the ranks, Jeff worked in San Mateo, San Diego and Riverside Counties for the State of California. He retired as a Fire Captain in 2022 and now holds a part-time faculty position at a local community college in the Emergency Medical Education Department, teaching the next generation of public safety professionals.
As a paramedic, Jeff has decades of experience working closely with healthcare teams at both Palomar UC San Diego Health facilities. He regularly attends local advisory councils where regional healthcare policies are shaped. Jeff was first elected in 2012 and is currently the chair of Palomar UC San Diego Health’s Board of Directors.
